Tristan is a detailed-oriented litigator representing manufacturing, energy, financial and technology companies around the country. He has considerable experience in all phases of litigation, including multiple jury trials, bench trials and arbitration hearings.

Tristan handles matters involving trade secrets, confidential information and restrictive covenants, such as non-competes and non-solicits. He has litigated numerous such cases for technology companies, insurance and financial services firms, and food and beverage manufacturers. Tristan also has particular proficiency in software-as-a-service (SaaS) contracts, software and data implementations, and other matters for fin-tech clients. His practice also includes defending class action lawsuits in state and federal court.

Additionally, Tristan has extensively handled shareholder and corporate governance matters for multiple clients, such as law firms, financial institutions, manufacturers and real estate companies. He has been involved in these cases in nearly every capacity, as counsel to majority and minority owners, as well as to receivers and referees.

  • Counsel to national food and beverage manufacturer in disputes with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) concerning product failure and warranty issues with plant-wide aseptic and ultra-high temperature (UHT) processing lines.
  • Counsel to owner of national dairy and plant-based beverage processor in lawsuit alleging misappropriation of trade secrets concerning the processing and packaging of aseptic and UHT foods and beverages.
  • Counsel to global manufacturer of heavy duty radiators and engine-cooling technology in warranty disputes with major auto manufacturer.
  • Counsel to global cancer drug developer in lawsuit involving trade secret misappropriation and breach of fiduciary duty against one of the company’s founders and a major competitor.

  • Counsel to publicly-traded insurance brokerage and financial services company in various lawsuits involving confidential information and restrictive covenants.

  • Counsel to global fin-tech companies in matters involving SaaS contracts, software implementations and large-scale data integrations.
Environmental & Energy Litigation
  • Counsel to energy supply companies (ESCOs) in defense of consumer protection class action lawsuits.
  • Counsel to competitive energy supplier in matter before the Massachusetts Offices of the Attorney General and Inspector General.
  • Counsel to private university in environmental litigation involving sulfur dioxide emissions, nuisance and violations of the Clean Air Act Title V Permitting Program and the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).
