Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Nickolas Karavolas Speaks at Hofstra Law Event

New York, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Nickolas Karavolas recently served as the featured speaker at the Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law’s First Generation Law Student Association (FGLSA) fall event held in November. Mr. Karavolas provided insights on how to navigate law school and begin a successful career as a first-generation lawyer.

After graduating with his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law, magna cum laude in 2009, Mr. Karavolas built an impressive career that led to him being named a partner at Phillips Lytle LLP. Paving his own way as a first-generation lawyer, he was inspired to become a Hofstra Law School Alumni Mentor, a role that allows him to help students who are now in positions similar to the circumstances he experienced as a law student.

Based in Phillips Lytle’s New York City office, Mr. Karavolas has worked tirelessly to build his practice in Banking and Financial Services. He focuses on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, including representation of secured and unsecured creditors, indenture trustees and committees. With extensive experience in various financial restructurings as well as real estate commercial transactions, Mr. Karavolas uses his knowledge in this area to represent his clients at the highest levels possible.
