Phillips Lytle Partner Milan K. Tyler Speaks at New York State Economic Development Council Annual Meeting

Panel discussion focused on changes in state government, the 2022 budget and upcoming legislation

Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Milan K. Tyler was featured in a panel discussion at the 2021 New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC) Annual Meeting – Repositioning, Repurposing and Rebuilding Our Communities. He joined two other prominent experts to discuss legislative updates on the “What’s New in New York” panel Thursday, September 30, at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, New York.

Over the past 18 months, New York State has navigated the global pandemic, natural disasters, economic volatility and the first change of government leadership in nearly 11 years. As New Yorkers continue to deal with these circumstances, it will create new opportunities for the state’s economy and raise new questions about how businesses will adapt and move forward. Along with the other featured panelists, Mr. Tyler addressed the new governor’s administration, what to expect in the 2022 budget and what upcoming bills economic developers should be aware of and monitor.

During the panel moderated by NYSEDC Executive Director Ryan Silva, Mr. Tyler appeared alongside Heather Briccetti, President and CEO of the Business Council of New York State (BCNYS), and Diana Ostroff, Managing Director of Ostroff Associates.

Mr. Tyler concentrates his practice in the areas of municipal finance and real estate law. He is experienced in loan transactions and workouts, conveyancing, leasing, title, survey, environmental issues, and cooperative and condominium projects.
